Thank you xo
DeleteI fully agree, content is key.
ReplyDeleteI love writing, so the words come easy for me. But I have also come across some blogs with little words and more pictures. It's all about what you display and how you do it.
I've learned this very quickly as a new blogger.

I think writing helps engage with readers on a level that just pictures cannot , I have to agree with what you saying .
DeleteHi Meghan, Great Tips!!! I just wanted to say that I love your blog, and read it daily! I thought it might be nice if you do a post or activity like for example, a pen pal match up or even a portrait project via your blog(I know the blogger from "Lucky Pony" did it and it was a huge success). What do you think?!? Have a fantastic week :) xxx
ReplyDeleteI 'm so glad you love the blog , I actually haven't heard of a pen pal match up but it sounds awesome if you can send me some details to my email I would love to add that to my blog , sounds like a great way to connect. drop me a mail at meghansilvablog(at)gmail(dot)com maybe we could collaborate on it ?
DeleteHi again Meghan, Just email you about my idea of the pen pal swop. Hope to hear your feedback and thoughts. xxx
Deletegood food for thought.
ReplyDeleteI quickly get over blogs that are pictures only, or post the same things over and over again.
That said, I do need to work on my content
Yeah I do too I feel disconnected from the actual blogger like Beck said last week on the blogging 101 post , readers don't want to just sit and watch in awe ... she was right , I hate sitting and being unable to "get" the blogger.
DeleteI definitely think that content is important as well communicating with your readers. As a blogger you don't want to publish posts just to have something to say, blogging is similar to life, people only want to keep those that are adding value to them around.
ReplyDeleteNice post
x Natalie
Yes that is so true , fully agree with this!
DeleteWhat a fab post! I totally agree about content. Anyone can post a bunch of pictures, but if there is no voice behind the blog with meaningful insight and personality, how are you really drawn to always come back? I think great content is definitely what makes people intrigued on a regular basis. Thanks so much for your wonderful comment today and I hope you have a really good MOnday! Talk soon dear!!! xx Pip

There really does have to be a voice a human being , because way to often blogs with 99% pictures and 1% words feels very robot like and no one is going to feel engaged to a robot , right? its my pleasure I really loved the look today xo
DeleteThis was a really interesting post and I'd have to say it's a bit or both! Social media gets your blog out there, but it's the content that keeps peoples attention

Yes that's very true .
DeleteAwesome post as always! Will share the wisdom ;)

Thank you so much for the awesome wisdom honey xo
DeleteI agree about the content completely - in fact I don't really have much of a social media presence at all which is something I need to work on, but at the moment because my blog is only a few weeks old I'm really focused on creating content. I love photos but I heard a great tip before that said your voice should stand out just as much as your photos, that the words alone should be enough and the pictures only a pretty addition.
ReplyDeleteAlso Meghan, its nice to know I'm not the only one who gets a bit homesick - thanks
Martina
Love that tip and it really is so true , but , with that said most readers are very visual so pictures really do help .. its my pleasure Martina , I read your post and really related .
DeleteI definitely agree with them! If you don't have good content, there will be nothing to hip hip hooray about on social media. HAHAHAHA Great post!

hahah that's so true .
Deletei agree with you, social medias & quality contents have to work hand in hand to attract more readers to one's blog.

Yes you can't advertise your blog and have no content and you can't have brilliant content and not tell anyone about them .
DeleteHi dear!
ReplyDeleteI think the content means that we have more interaction with readers than just pictures do! The images complement good content and leave the post more interesting, so both have to go together.

Spot on , I couldn't have said it better Kika thank you
DeleteI will be honest with you... I think it's a combination of both :)

ReplyDeleteI'm really glad you thought so xo
DeleteI fully agree! Content and networking are the key elements.
ReplyDeleteYes that's so true :)
DeleteHello Meghan!
ReplyDeleteContent should always be your first priority, but social media is an invaluable asset. It's so hard to find a balance between both of them. I still have trouble between paying the enough attention to the social platforms without leaving the blog aside. I have found myself spending hours posting on Facebook, Google +, Twitter and ... more and then realizing I haven't added anything new to the blog.

I have to say I struggle with facebook , its still something I have to work on , but you really always have such amazing content on your blog , I would never say you struggle finding a balance.
