Home remedies that actually work on breakouts

~Via~
Boy oh boy I have been battling with my skin for like the last 2 months which has been something I never had to deal with , like no acne or breakouts when I was younger, I mean I would wash my face with baby cream and it looked pretty decent . Now my days are spent trying to hide the blemishes and nights are filled with trying to fix them and its exhausting and trust me I take my vitamins I eat pretty well I drink tons of water so I am pretty clueless as to why it is acting up with that said I know it could be far worse (Thank you Lord for blessing me with pretty decent skin I really don't want to come across as being ungrateful when I know others suffer way more than me) so I'm looking on the positive and this is what I've learned there are a few home remedies one can try that actually works way better than the toothpaste remedy.

  • Crushed asprin mixed with a few drops of water to make a paste : Now I first heard of using asprin on skin via Pretty Please Charlie , it really dries up the spot but just don't over use it , I once used it on a spot like 3 days straight (not recommended but I really was frustrated)and my skin became super dry and dry skin is harder to get to look perfect .
  • Turmeric and few drops of lemon juice to make a paste: This really helped calm the inflammation with no dry skin the breakout looks so much better all that remains is just a yellow tinge to my skin , my advice would be apply it at night like when you reading emails or watching t.v. and before bed rinse it off ,after the morning rinse your skin should be back to its normal colour.
  • Sugar and lemon scrub : I have been using this for years the result is always soft skin , I usually do this after using asprin on spots (asprin really works well), it helps keep my skin smooth and silky.

*Disclaimer : I am not a dermatologist and these are just what I use on my skin always be sure to figure out what works best on your skin.

  2. I've been having a lot of issues with breakouts too lately! I don't eat very well (mostly junk food) or take care of my skin, so I kinda know why. I just started using clearasil...we'll see how that goes. Thank you for sharing these tips with us! I will definitely try them out:)!

  14. LOVE DIY beauty recipes. I have been struggling with eczema like crazy lately, and it makes it so much harder to use store-bought products for breakouts.
