Beauty essential : beauty blenders and my go to technique

Take a trip with me won't you? You found your perfect foundation and concealer, the gorgeous model in the ad has the silkiest, smoothest skin you have ever seen. You logically know photoshop has something to do with it, but you also know a good product plays a major role with the end result. With no second thought you purchase it and head home, happy to conceal the dark circles and uneven skin tone.... until the damn thing just won't seamlessly blend!

The beauty blender has been all the rage for a while now in various sizes, colors and brands. But is this sponge really as good? I have to say I think so and this is how I tend to use this nifty tool...

First let me explain, I apply my makeup pretty lightly, except under my eyes. My insomnia makes waking up looking fresh pretty hard. But using my favorite concealer and a beauty blender just gets it looking fresh and bright every single time.

The trick?
  • I dampen it with warm water. You must know the concept about the warmth of your finger really helps blend concealer well? It's true! so why not add that warmth to your beauty blender.
  • I am sure to dab in a pressing motion. I never smear the product around like a windshield wiper , instead my concealer goes on like my eye cream.
  • I make sure to apply it in a triangle motion: outside eye corner towards my nostril and up to my inner corner of my eye. The half moon concealing method really seems to accentuate any bags and dark circles and I avoid it at all costs.

The result:

  • perfectly blended concealer time and time again.

Now I have to know, are you a beauty blender fan? if so what is your go to technique? share it with us in the comments below

  7. I love using the beauty blender too. I don't use it for concealers as I tend to use my fingers to blend for that. I'll have to try it out next time using the beauty blender.
