Having my girls over for breakfast is always a treat. It's a chance to try that new recipe, a moment to catch up and often the most therapeutic time ever, I mean who needs a shrink if you have great women surrounding you making you laugh till your tummy aches?. Today that's exactly what my morning started like.
I have always been so curious about what's the difference between Dutch baby pancakes or German pancakes compared to the usual way I make it. I was pleasantly surprised it has a kind of milk tart affect. Which was perfect because it just happens to be my sisters favorite dessert. So this will definitely be added to my go to breakfast recipes when she comes around.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 4 eggs
- 2 tbs melted butter
- Pinch salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Lemon zest
- Icing sugar
- Honey
Method:
- Preheat oven at 180
- Add all wet ingredients, eggs, milk etc.
- Whisk in dry ingredient.
- Coat a oven dish or skillet of choice with non stick spray, butter or oil.
- Pour batter into oven dish and pop that baby into your oven.
- Bake for 20 minutes
- Sprinkle with icing sugar and honey.
Have you tried other variants to your classic pancake? If so let me know which is your absolute favorite id love to know and perhaps even make it the next time my girls come over.
Sending you love & light
Till next time !!!!
