Mayo mask :
Before you get all grossed out let me just say this has been a life saver in my life for years , you will smell like a salad but the end result is worth it , take a few dessert spoons of mayo and add a few drops of olive oil , cover with a shower cap and towel and in an hour (I sometimes leave it on for hours ) rinse it well shampoo condition as usual and your hair will be amazing .
Vinegar Rinse :
1 cup of white vinegar(I know people use ACV but I hate the after smell) in your final rinse water , this will clarify the hair from any product buildup and make it shiny ... hello!
Egg and brandy mask:
Add one or 2 eggs and a shot of brandy , I like adding some coconut oil . Leave it on for 20/30 minutes and wash hair as usual .
Lovely post... great product reviews!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great job in your blog!

The mayo masks works like a charm every single time.
DeleteI will definitely try these, I've heard of the mayo and the egg one but I'll be sure to add brandy to it!
ReplyDeleteI use a whole concoction with my shampoo because my hair is very thin - I plan on posting about the remedy I use later today.
Also when I was in primary school I put a whole bottle of lemon juice in my hair to lighten it (before I was allowed to colour my hair) and it worked but it resulted in my hair not having a good texture to it so I wouldn't reccommend that.

DeleteI've heard of the mayo before! And slathering on olive oil... I don't often do a deep condition like these though. I usually just load up on the conditioner in the shower and let it sit a bit longer and call it a day haha.
ReplyDeleteOlive & Ivy
I have those moments too haha
DeleteMy hair has been especially dry as of late since I've been taking x2 showers with all the running training this summer. The mayo treatment sounds totally what I need. Thanks for stopping by my blog - so happy to have found yours! Looking forward to reading more!
