Blogging 101 : Finding a balance and Misconceptions

This week I am thrilled to have a fresh new take on blogging 101 where bloggers join the discussion and contribute their wisdom , I mean how awesome is that!!! Today we have Jezz , Kierra and Becky and we discussing how to find a balance between blogging and living a life which often can be such a difficult task , and what is the biggest misconception when it comes to blogging I decided to ask this question because we as a blogging community can relate to each other in ways others might not and its nice to sometimes address the questions or idea's fellow bloggers , readers ,our family, friends might have.

I would like to give a huge thank you to Jezz from Jezz Dallas , Kierra from Love, Kierra Makayla , Becky from Loose from the zoo you guys are such a blessing , I do hope you enjoyed this Blogging 101 post and if you are blogger who posts regularly and wants to be a part of this series don't hesitate to email me on Meghansilvablog(at)gmail(dot)com

  1. I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the responses. I agree wholeheartedly with what everyone wrote. Blogging is definitely not easy, requires commitment, patience, time and love. It's a mix of things! I've been blogging for 3 years now and I am still learning. I do my best to reach out to other bloggers and connect. I would like to add, it's important to stay GENUINE. I find some are and some aren't. It's important to sift through those that are not.
    EXCELLENT POST LADIES!

  7. I'm so happy to see Kierra's answer because that's exactly how I feel at times - trying to learn html to get your page to look the way you visiaulise. I did the same thing as her before I started, I looked at the blogs I really liked, figured out what it was that I liked about them and incorporated those impressions into my blog. Its new and its small but its mine and I like it - but its such a learning process!

It's so nice to read this blogging 101 series and get real insights into these that some bloggers make look so easy, so thank you Meghan!

  8. Thanks for posting this! It's really cool that you're showing people (especially non-bloggers) an insight into the world of blogging. There are so many prejudices and people often don't understand how much time, effort and dedication it takes to have a good blog. It's definitely not easy to juggle life and blogging.

  16. Great post and advice ladies!
I often feel a little overwhelmed with trying to run and grow my own business, keep up with friends, and hanging out with my husband and also trying to write as regularly as possible! And now that I'm doing my Yoga teacher training, I'm often feeling guilty about not studying or practicing yoga more!
Working out the balance is very much still a work in progress for me:)

  23. Great post! I always love reading other bloggers' perspectives on some of the things I got through as a blogger. I really identified with yours and Jezz's time management tips and I agree that it really helps sometimes to get some posts done ahead of time! I also tend to schedule my posts on a calender too so I can visually keep track of when and what I'll be posting - that way I keep some variety in my posts. Sometimes though, I just have to accept that blogging isn't my job and that a few days off from posting won't bother anyone except me :)

  24. Thanks so much for sharing this! Balancing blogging and life is probably one of the hardest things for me, because if I feel that I don't blog enough, I feel guilty, or if I feel that I'm spending too much time blogging, I feel guilty that I'm not spending that time on my family or friends. Really love these posts babe ~ Have a fab day xoxo
