There's always been something about love letters that get me all mushy inside , the thought of someone spending time writing their thoughts to you and even the idea that someone wasn't afraid to express their sweet words to you , no let me clarify I am talking the good kind of love letter the one that's says "dear Jane you mean the world to me and since I met you my world has gone to a place where I never thought existed a place called heaven" not the bad kind like "dear Jane you mean the world to me but....I feel we have outgrown each other ." Beethoven always got it soooooo right , recently I read a love letter of his and I felt the passion I felt the love in the letter ... know what I mean??
"My angel, my all , my very self - only a few words today and at that with your pencil - not till tomorrow will my lodgings be definitely determined upon - what a useless waste of time, why this deep sorrow where necessity speaks - can our love endure except through sacrifices - except through not demanding everything -can you change it that you are not wholly mine , I not wholly thine?
Oh, God ! look out into the beauties of nature and comfort yourself with that which must be - love demands everything and that very justly - that it is with me so far as you are concerned , and you with me . If we were wholly united you would feel the pain of it as little as !!
Now a quick change to things internal from things external. We shall surely see each other ; moreover , I cannot communicate to you the observations I made during the last few days touching my own life - if our hearts were always close together I would make none of the kind. My heart is full of many things to say to you - Ah! - there are moments when I feel that speech is nothing after all - cheer up - remain my true , only treasure , my all as I am yours ; the gods must send us the rest that which shall be best for us."
Your faithful
Ludwig
So here is a very special question for those in love, with plus ones etc , what is the most romantic thing that you or your other half has done THIS YEAR? and for the single people like myself what are you waiting for ? for me I am waiting for that person that makes me not wanna be single and "free" anymore .

DeleteWhat beautiful text! Look, the most romantic thing my boyfriend did this year was Easter present me with a beautiful MAC lipstick that I wanted. He photographed and put on the face so he bought saying that the rabbit was bringing me. But he does romantic things always says nice things and treats me very well!
ReplyDeleteI hope that soon you find a person that makes you feel this happiness!

Awww he does sound pretty romantic ! Thank you Kika I guess at the right time right ?!
DeleteBeethoven was a talented chap, wasn't he?
ReplyDeleteI'd say the most romantic thing my husband has done for this me year is take care of me when I hurt my back (slipped a joint at the gym, ouchhh). He literally carried me up and down the stairs while I was recovering, made me all my favorite comfort foods, and even went on a fashion magazine run when I ran out of reading material! He can be quite sweet, that boy. ;)
