I decided to make dinner rolls/buns , I googled a few recipes found one and as usual midway I started doing my own thing , I'm not good at recipe following .The recipe I began to follow was this one I'm pretty sure these rolls would be amazing too
Ingredients:
- 1 packet dry yeast
- cup warm water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 eggs 1 of the 2 eggs divided
- 1 desert spoon aniseed
- 1 3/4 self raising flour
- 2 cups "normal" flour
- 1tsp salt
Instructions:
Mix yeast, sugar, warm water & salt together,
then add olive oil ,1 whole egg 1 egg white (keep the yoke you'l be using it later)
and aniseed, slowly add the flour , kneed the dough for a few minutes until smooth then set aside to raise +/- 1 hour or until its doubled in size , kneed it again on floured surface , using a cookie cutter or a coffee mug like I did make circles, place on a greased tray set aside & cover with a clean cloth & let it raise again, now's the time to preheat your oven, once its risen really well , brush egg yolk on top of rolls.
