Lets do a little back tracking or catch up for those who don't personally know me ...
year 2011 started the year a size 28
year 2012 started the year a size 34
year 2013 starting the year size 31 /32
.... what happened in year 2011 to drastically change my dress sizes ,well i moved cities , ate like a wreck and was in an extremely stressful situation ... details are for a much much longer post...
You might be asking what the hell do I know about diet and fitness ... I know what its like to gain weight,how hard it is to lose it and how I have been losing weight the healthy way.
how did i change my life ???
I tried crash diets,the 7day diets
I tried tiny teeny portions
I tried working out like a mad women
did it help .... hmm ... a little bit ,nothing drastic though.
few months back i got asked what are doing you have dropped weight give me the secret ... weirdly enough a few months back i stopped the insane diet,working out and stressing over getting back to a size 28 ...
I re-evaluated my lifestyle .. yes you've heard it over and over...i heard it over and over ... but i did it like it was second nature..
*Start your day with hot water with a wedge of lemon
*Eat breakfast
*Meal sizes should go like this:
- large filling breakfast
- medium lunch
- small portioned dinner incl protein ,protein is your friend
*Drink 3 glasses of cold water before you eat
*Eat whatever you want but control your portion size,DON'T be a glutton
do not eat like its your last meal EVER... so gross |
Get moving :
you do not get fit by sitting on your bum, I am very into hiking I love nature ,its fun and its better done in a group.
*Eat those veges and fruits :
leafy greens are your friend
grapefruit is 1 amazing diet friendly fruit ... but there are so many fruits out there mix it up
*Have fruit when you craving sugar
*For dessert:
opt for strawberries dipped in DARK chocolate or any fruit for that matter
*Cut down the alcohol consumption:
I reward myself with a glass of red wine every now and then I'm a lover of wine ... but refraining from alcohol helps a lot .. I binge drink on rare occasions
I did not think my tiny lifestyle adjustments were doing anything till I had to put on a bikini.... so worth it ... and I'm not yet at my goal so lets do this together...
