Happy New year 🥂

Hi everyone, happy New year hope the year has started off perfect for you.

So officially my 2019 starts 1st of February. January was totally a trial month  and holiday month for me, spent majority of it in Portugal just having some R&R.

It dawned on me my 2019 would begin in the month of love. I love the month of love so it's a a very good start to my year. Then it got me reminiscing on some of my favourite Valentine's day celebrations. I've had quite a variety of romantic gestures over the years. For me its always adding unconventional touches with the hopeless cheesy romantic gestures. The ones that show me you actually pay attention to what I find fascinating. I love flowers but also fast and the furious. That kind of thing.

I've always been so obsessed and pleasantly surprised with getting flowers on special occasions and quality time together. Floral arrangements like the ones found at Floraqueen which are the kind of gifts that just covers so many basis. Flowers are just so versatile in my humble opinion. They make great push presents (I received a gorgeous bunch of red roses ), they brighten your mood when you ill or sad. Bring great life and vibrancy into your home. Basically I am greenery and flower kind of person.

Then obviously and in my opinion the most important part of valentines day, there has to be a date night. Because in all fairness there is no greater way of showing love than giving someone your undivided attention... (sorry phones and social media you cannot be a part of date nights). We live in a world where it's so trendy to be busy that we sometimes lose the deep connections.

I know many people constantly say Valentine's day should be everyday but I love the idea that on one very special day we get to celebrate love every year. Call me the hopeless romantic.

Let me know in the comments below How you celebrating Valentine's day this year... or better yet share a Valentine's day story in the comments below.
XO Meg
