Loving | The vamp trend

I used to love wearing black nail polish a few years back, nobody understood why. So to my absolute pleasant surprise when black/vamp beauty trends took over even in summer I was delighted. I've put together 3 looks I am loving, varying from mildly vamp, medium vamp and full on vamp.  As well as 3 budget friendly makeup suggestions to recreate the vamp look.

Quick note from Meghan "I just want to say thank you for all the lovely comments, I do read every single one of them and will be visiting your blogs soon. Even though there are mainly two cosmetic companies mentioned, this is not a sponsored post I just love their affordable yet glamorous range."

My tips on achieving first Nude eyes and Dark lips look:

  • Reach for the Catrice absolute matte pallete (amazing) and add the lightest colour all over your lids.
  • Use the light brown colour on your waterline to create definition.
  • Add a few coats of your favorite mascara to tie the look together.
  • The final step would be to grab a berry lip colour. My budget friendly and amazing option is Ultimate stay lipstick in 020 All she wants.

My tips on achieving the Smokey Eye, dark eye looks are:

My tips on achieving the full on Vamp look in a sultry way are:

  • Create your favorite smokey eye whether you more of a soft smokey eye girl or daring like Jessica Harlow as seen in the image. If you like me and don't really need falsies skip it but for added drama a great pair of false lashes will look amazing.
  • Grab up your favorite berry colour lipstick, I love Catrice's Ultimate stay lipstick in 020 All she wants.
  • Finish up with nails, these Essense colours are amazing, they dry fast, so no smudges happening if you in a rush, my go to colour for this look is Black is back by Essence.

Are you into this vampy looks? if yes let me know which one you rock more frequently in the comments below.

  6. I always fail hopelessly at false eyelashes. At least the lips will save the day!

  7. Oh goodness, I love these vamp looks. I hope to try it one day! I feel like the key is to keep the eye makeup light when you're rocking such dark lips, but these pics prove me wrong. It looks gorgeous with the heavier eye makeup too (like in the second pic). Hope all is well Meghan:)!
