I honestly have to say I read the above saying on Twitter and it really hit home , sometimes I am really super cautious in life, love and even in tasting new things I never used to be but in the last 2 years I have been more wary,so recently I started living with the mind frame life is too short to wait and I want to try something new all the time like the 24 year old version of myself who had no fears and lived everyday fully obviously this doesn't mean caution goes to the wind I didn't have so many life lessons not to learn anything from it you know what I mean , but , I also don't want to be grey and old (oneday ;p ) and be filled with regrets , so with that said what is one thing you are torn about trying?

I've always been torn about trying adventure sports - bungy jumping etc. It looks and sounds amazing but I am so worried of getting inured
ReplyDeleteI think its all about taking the first step , let me know if you ever try it .
DeleteThis quote is awesome! This is going to sound funny but I have been torn about this red(ish) dress that I bought and I'm not even sure why I am so apprehensive of wearing it but I'm working on my confidence to pull it off *cue nervous laugh*
ReplyDeletexNatalie
Red will look amazing on you no need to be nervous , I want to see pics of you in this red dress missy!
DeleteThis is something I go through every day... And it's super stupid. I have enormeous fear of not succeeding in what I want. But I'm not ready to ut my whole life aside just to reach that desire, that point I want to get. So it goes slow... and sometimes I lose faith and forget how blessed I am for everything I have...

This has got me thinking so much. Honestly, I have been thinking about whether or not I should do my honors next year or not. I will have my degree before I am 21 so I am still quite young and I am scared I won't do it later in life! :)
ReplyDeleteAmina ∞ Oh Just One More ∞
Totally do it next year , you wont regret it .
DeleteI'm not a born risk taker, but... I have found time and time again that I regret the things I didn't do more than the things I did. I'm always going to be nervous about trying new things, but it's a kind of nervousness I can cope with and move through in order to have a wonderful experience. That is with the exception of all things involving water; I'm terrified of water :)

That's always my biggest fear regretting , love that you say " but it's a kind of nervousness I can cope with and move through in order to have a wonderful experience." so well put . You not alone lots of people have a fear of water .
DeleteI'm hoping to simply achieve being successful. Most of all, I want to be happy. I want to love where I stand in life, and I want to love where I work. I hope to have a wonderful family and to be surrounded by people who love me for who I am. I'm not willing to give up anyone for this, because everyone in my life right now are people who I love with all my heart. I would, however, give up some of my living style. I'm also hoping to further my studies and career! One step at a time. :)
ReplyDeleteLove love love this , that's really a great way to live .

So true Ashley , so true !!
DeleteWhat a good mantra! I think so often today young people live with the mentality that "real life" can wait until you're 30 and I think there is a lot to be missed if you pretend you have time to waste.
ReplyDeleteI've always been torn by the idea of being an entrepreneur. I would love to start my own business (in the full time sense) but it's terrifying to think of trying without a big financial safety net.

There really is no time to waste , I remember always hearing "you either work to fulfill your own dream or you will work to fulfill someone else's dream" but yes I totally understand the initial fears , I've been there .
Deleteyou should really live life to the fullest. i want to travel more. it can be costly and i don't always have the funds, but i'm definitely going to make it a point to. also adventure and explore my own city. trying new restaurants and eats. i'm loving that.

You actually have been inspiring me to try new places to eat ;) love the traveling goal !
DeleteI have always been torn about travelling abroad or saving the money for a house.
ReplyDeleteYeah those are two amazing things to want from life , go for it !

DeleteIt was marrying the man I love and finally I did it.So now I think it is little babies :)
ReplyDeleteThat is really awesome , congrats on the marriage , babies totally bring joy to a home , I don't have any but that's what I have seen :) so all the best with that.
DeleteI have this urge to buy a bicycle, like the folks on Holland, think it will keep me spirited and inspired. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the idea , you should especially now that you moved to a new city , how awesome would that be !
DeleteVery true. Life is short, and I am realizing that more and more lately. It makes me realize that I maybe need to live more and do more things, spend more money to enjoy life.
ReplyDeleteEven though saving is really important and trust me I love to save but memories are more important to me . Spend some of your hard earned money on some fun ;)
DeleteWise words - I am considering leaving my very lovely part time job to concentrate on blogging full time - that's my major 'don't want to have regrest' thing at the moment! Scary stuff...

ReplyDeleteSometimes I am postponing some things and the time goes by ... Also do not want to get old lady and I do not regret what I did ... I think I should take more risks, but in practice is more difficult right?

I am glad you agree :)
DeleteToo true! I've been trying to challenge myself for years now. I'm naturally very introverted and a home-body, but I started dancing to scare myself and now I'm wearing vintage in public a lot which can push you out of your comfort zone. But I love it and why not?! ;-)

DeleteGreat post:) I made the leap to start my own business last year which was a massive leap of faith for me. Now I need to decide if/how I'm going to try and expand it!
ReplyDeleteTerrifying but exciting.
Part of me wants to just keep on doing what I do. The other part sees so much potential around me...
So so torn!!

DeleteConsidering I am old and grey (just cover it up!) I've stopped thinking and started doing. We made a summer bucket list - and of course posted it, haha, to keep us accountable - of all the things we want to do. My biggest problem is finding the time. SO, I guess I'd have to say is getting off the computer and "making" time to do them :) We seem to be making a dent though! Boring, but true!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat post and it's fun to read everyone's ideas!
xo & happy wknd ~kim
Finding time is totally the hardest part for me too I'm really glad you making the time and you old and grey??? Never ;)
