Home Remedies for Colds and Flu

Winter season hasn't quite hit Jozi we still having gorgeous days and I love it but the nights is what gets me , its so chilly man!! and I don't know why but it really seems to trigger colds and flu remember that Saturday Six post where I had a flu ? anyway I truly believe when you get sick you have to go to the doctor but I also have two home remedies that work so well combined with some meds from the doc , so I took to twitter to see what everyone else had to say on their favorite home remedies .

My perfect mix is :

  • 2 tsp crushed Garlic
  • 2 tsp ginger
  • 2 tsp lemon
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 2 cups water
mix all this together in a pot let it boil for 3 minutes and drink up !!

Garlic Milk:
  • Cup Milk
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 tsp honey
Mix it together and pop it into the microwave for 1 minute or until slightly warm.

Here's what Elrese and Irina had to say...

I think its safe to say we are totally honey ladies , if you want to be part of future conversations or maybe just want more of my blog be sure to follow along on twitter and don't be shy , lets chat.

Disclaimer : We are not doctors! Always be sure to visit the doctor when flu's and colds come a knocking ;)
