Its a date!

With romance being a part of my life these days, I just knew I had to write a "romance based post". Why wait for valentines day?? There is so many fun things couples can do. I very seldom will actually say "hey lets do this" because a part of me still wants a guy to take charge and I have been told I am a bit dominant so I try my best not to be, but that doesn't mean I don't have several ideas or that I wont be more vocal in the future.  So here is my take on fun things to do:

Picnics: I don't know why couples don't do this frequently, its cheaper, more convenient and you get to just chill out. No hefty bills here.

Art exhibit: I am yet to attend an art exhibit with a bf, in my mind I am like why don't guys watch romcoms more often, they would get so many awesome idea's.

Sundowners: More often than not by the end of our day we just want to unwind, you don't want to stress about what to cook (yes guys, us women really don't want to cook everyday! I get it you had a bad day but guess what so did I) so why not go somewhere and enjoy a drink while watching the sunset, and for a second forget about paying the bills or just forget about that annoying client... until tomorrow

Live band whilst eating dinner: There is so many restaurants that have live bands, I too enjoy a hardcore raging concert but for a date I want to enjoy some good music, while being super comfy.

Outdoor fun: I am talking camping, a braai (bbq) for two, a hike with a picnic at the end, a boat ride. Now before the bf complains about me saying I think camping is a great idea let me explain for me camping incl. sleeping in a tent, with some kind of outdoor vibe and waking up to a braai breakfast. anything other than that DOES NOT COUNT AS CAMPING!

There's so many really awesome things to do with your partner it just takes a little bit of thinking. Relationships are tons of work, but if the person you with is worth working for very little will seem like too much of an effort.

What has been your best date so far? I would love to know.

  12. wonderful ideas. my boyfriend and i have been spending the last few sunday afternoons in the park. there's an open invitation to all of our friends to join us, and people come and go, bringing food and wine and frisbees and guitars :) i don't know if it qualifies as a date but it's been such a fun way to spend time together.
