Good Morning World

Literally sitting knee deep in negative thoughts about some "bumps in the road" I have been a part of lately I get this perfect email reminding me to remain optimistic and grateful. I don't know if you have ever had a situation where you kind of feel like your life is perfectly balanced and then all of a sudden there's a change in your life and the calmness that once was consistent, no longer is.

~I get emails about the Secret every other day~
Think of the scene of the movie or book (whichever you followed) of Eat Pray Love. Liz goes from the ashram in India where she finds that inner peace she has been longing for. Then learning to meditate and smiling with her heart in Bali, to meeting someone and feeling like her world is becoming a bit undone and then reacts in a more defensive way. Which then in turn turns out being far more negative than one could ever want. A total opposite of the inner peace that once was.

That's where I'v been at, so you can imagine how much impact these two sentences had on me and I just knew I had to share it with you guys. Ketut Liyer said it perfectly "Sometimes to lose balance for love is part of living a balanced life" which combined with the above email I received has pretty much helped lighten my spirits and get me back on track. Yes guys I have been really doing some in depth thinking and feeling lately with my lessons I learned recently and today's post its really apparent I am growing as a person and to be completely honest, it hasn't always been easy or enjoyable, there's times I missed the old me, the safe zone. But if I have learned anything in life it is if everyday you see even a tiny bit of growth and change I believe you are living a full life, its when today you are the exact same person as you were yesterday that you should worry.

*This might be somewhat of an over share post but this blog is not just a space for pretty pictures saying my life is perfect all day everyday and gorgeous products reviews, it is a daily lifestyle blog about... me Meghan Silva my life, loves and everything in between,so some posts will be more journal like and others not so much. I often get asked why I used that specific picture with a specific post my answer is really simple while I may not always use my own pictures all the time, every image I have ever used on the blog literally had me staring at it for hours in awe and some are in many ways a reflection of my mood at the time, even if it is just an image of the ocean, it reflects maybe the serenity I was feeling. I adore pretty pictures that take you into a little space where you are free to daydream.

  2. Isn't it funny how the world turns everything upside down when we least expect it. But when we look back at it, when we were most ready for it

  14. Girl, feel like we are sailing in the same boat. I kinda paused for a while to reflect on my life and how far I've come.

BTW, you do not have to justify yourself. Nobody is perfect, we all have ups and down and that is Life. It will be wrong for us to expect everything pretty and good because that is not real.

  15. This is a wonderfully honest post Meg! It's incredible when something has been playing on your mind (and in your gut) but you're afraid of it and then you get confirmations of what you were thinking about. Good luck babe x
