Coconut Sugar Cookies

I grew up in a home where there were always biscuits for when guest would visit or for a late night treat on cold days , so with the oven fixed I decided I need to make some Coconut sugar cookies/biscuits for those evenings when a hot chocolate just won't suffice , know what I mean?I followed this recipe and made 3 adjustments I added 3 eggs instead of 2 , a few drops of almond extract along with the vanilla essence and a little bit more butter and I must say it turned AMAZING.

A little hair love + review

I seem to barely talk about hair on my blog which is so strange because I live for pretty hair , I make my own concoctions to nourish my locks and have been practically every colour under the sun blonde to burgundy and for many years jet black super straight to super curly . So when I decided to recently bleach my hair at home (not that I'm recommending doing that yourself ever!) I did it and my pretty glossy locks got a bit damaged so off I went to buy my usual coconut oil when I stumbled upon this little gem V05 miracle concentrate ,in one afternoon of use my hair feels a bit better so I can only imagine over time.

Review:

I love the smell and how soft it made my hair after only one application , I will keep applying it and update this post in a week as I only bought it yesterday but loved the results already another great selling point is the price it contains Argan oil  (whoooo ooooh) and its really budget friendly which means you can use it as a hot oil treatment and before a blowout and not feel like you wasting cash.

Share a little love + Gorgeous spring makeup

I think there is just some people who embody inner beauty , I find myself gravitating towards people who are kind and caring and trust me you might all be thinking hey that's nothing new but I know many people who gravitate towards the mean ego's , for me there is nothing more amazing than people being kind to each other  I recently saw a tweet from a fellow blogger talking about the amount of mean comments she receives, her blog is really awesome and I just don't get how anyone can be mean for no real reason but I think we all have dealt with that sometime or another in our lives I'm really blessed to have such amazing friends(readers) who leave kind comments day after day and I have to say THANK YOU ! that doesn't mean I haven't dealt with bullies isn't it weird how often women hate women?? it's such a hard thing to deal with so if you have ever been bullied or are being bullied firstly I feel your pain but remember how amazing you are and that you ARE loved !and with that being said there is one Youtube makeup guru who got me hooked with her kindness, in every single tutorial she creates there is some positive message and not to mention how amazing her makeup tutorials are, I have a top 3 tutorials Youtubers I watch like regularly (yes a tiny bit obsessed HELP haha) and she is totally in the top 3 list , so I thought I 'd have to share one of my favorite tutorials by her... and leave you with a tiny little message , be kind to people, you never know how huge those kind words are to them ,we all go through so much, no ones life is perfect always remember that!

Molome + Me

~Boiling water with ginger//tuna obsession//makeup isle happy place//snacks while I blog~

This post has changed so much !! gees ! so I knew its a sign to just do a lighthearted post , I'v been having such issues with my skin I'm not use to crazy breakouts but they happen and the more you stress the more they set up camp on your face and the cycle never ends so I've been ignoring it like it doesn't exist but I have been doing hot water with a slice of fresh ginger just in case.  Any suggestions ladies? on other topics I'v been comforting myself in the makeup isle and with my new fave snack tuna with sushi ginger on toast okay okay and a dollop of mayo ! I also decided to set up a poll I would really love all your input as to what you would like to see on my blog in the future. I really hope you take a second to share your input as I really do value what you all think.

New goodies + Review

Recently I lost my favorite mascara yes ladies where how I don't know but this gave me a reason to find a new mascara and while I was at it a blending brush ( the tutorials are paying off people) why have I never owned one well ... makeup wasn't a huge deal to me before , realistically its not month end and my bank account is like screaming don't do it but I did (in your face bank account haha) I went to my favorite makeup section that is REALLY budget friendly the Essence stand and found the get BIG lashes mascara and smokey eye shadow brush.

As you know from yesterdays post this week has been pretty good , very chilled no drama lots of love on my side. The weather has been grey (not my fave) I'm more a summer heat kind of lady, but I can't complain because its going to get colder and then i'll be seriously complaining all the time so I'll spare you any complaints for now. Its been a really good week for me and I'm a huge believer in being grateful and focusing on what you have and want instead of what is going wrong , regarding all the craziness in the world I pray for peace we all deserve peace , my gratitude list is so very long so I'll just share 5

1. I'm so grateful that my loved ones are happy and healthy, when you happy I'm happy!
2. I'm grateful for the fact that as the cold months draw near I have a meal every single day, a roof over my head and a warm bed to snuggle into. (Its so easy to forget how blessed we are)

Browsing around the mall I found what might be a little piece of heaven for bloggers , creative people, fashion fanatics ,people who work from home , I walked in and wished I had a stash of cash to just spend spend spend! Sweet Treat

Cravings for something sweet knocked on my door,so obviously I got up and whipped up a quick treat. chocolate muesli bites sufficed and were so yummy.

Ingredients :

• muesli
• chocolate(I used baking chocolate)
• honey

Instructions (couldn't be easier) :

• Mix everything together ,the consistency has to be sticky ,roll it into balls and refrigerate for 10 minutes and enjoy!

Recent Purchase

When I was a kid I would be in a candy store if my mom left her vanity case laying around , I had to try everything on but with years It faded ,my obsession faded , I mean i'd be happy with pink lip gloss and mascara until very recently , I mean give or take a a month or 2 , but recently I've been caught by my family and friends messing around experimenting with looks and watching Youtube tutorials like a crazy obsessed women , I remember reading a blog advice series and one question was "visit blogs you adore and see what attracts you to the blog" I've always been obsessed with travel blogs but going through a long list of blog favorites beauty blogs were making a very often appearance , beauty tutorials were something I waited patiently for. Could I be an undercover beauty obsessed lady?? me ? sports, fast car and sneaker loving Meg!! hah oh yes its true I can now honestly say I my friends adore makeup and feeling pretty and spending time on my hair and nails and purchasing items I would in the past pass by easily ...

You miss one SS post and it feels like forever!!! This is always my favorite post to do fyi,  so today's SS post is going to be more focused on what I want to do more , now let me start by explaining why I haven't been able to do any of my food bucket list series recipes (gees that's a mouthful) first off the minute I uploaded the new addition to my blog the oven &stove , yes people the plates incl STOPPED WORKING like even cooking dinner is a mission even boiling an egg !but anyway I always have a back up so I thought no problemo I got the gas braai which I've become a pro at cooking and baking in ,this will do and boooya gas runs out and so I'm like okay I'll start on sauces etc and well now my blender doesn't work either, no breakfast smoothies like what the f@*# is going on here , from the get go this kitchen has been a disaster. Cursed kitchen anyone?? But that hasn't stopped me from day dreaming of a life with a working kitchen and holidays and days of looking like I jumped right out of a magazine (Mary Poppins art scene).

Eat your heart out

I'm really all about cozy breakfast spots that have tables on decks outside in the sun especially with the chillier days soon heading our way nothing beats sitting in the sun with something warm to drink , where you can people watch eat a sweet treat , perhaps even meet a special someone on a quick lunch date or just an awesome catch up session with friends. Here's also something extra special about this gorgeous place its a Kosher deli , there's vegan & gluten free options . Eat your heart out ? don't mind if I do :) Are you a Cafe kind of person ???

Letters between lovers

There's always been something about love letters that get me all mushy inside , the thought of someone spending time writing their thoughts to you and even the idea that someone wasn't afraid to express their sweet words to you , no let me clarify I am talking the good kind of love letter the one that's says "dear Jane you mean the world to me and since I met you my world has gone to a place where I never thought existed a place called heaven" not the bad kind like "dear Jane you mean the world to me but....I feel we have outgrown each other ." Beethoven always got it soooooo right , recently I read a love letter of his and I felt the passion I felt the love in the letter ... know what I mean??

Momentos Incríveis

Have you ever sat back and really thought about the moments in life and realized "woooah" those were incredible memories or moments? I had a day like that last week like back to back amazing things were happening in my life , new things , things I couldn't understand but here's the thing we not meant to understand these moments we meant to celebrate them and be grateful , right? I remember years ago heading home from work I used to take the bus and I remember how I'd go to Woolworth's ,buy a triple layer choc mousse and indulge in it on my way home , my life was so busy at that time that , that  bus ride indulging in my choc mouse was my only time of serenity, I don't think I valued it as much as I do now while sitting here writing this post all nostalgic.

It's all about PLAKA

I've been to numerous Plaka restaurants but Plaka Eastgate is (in my very humble opinion) , the best or maybe I just need to revisit all of the rest hehe an excuse to eat drink and be merry uhm hell yes but what gets the 2 thumbs up and Meghan stamp of approval is the decor yummy fresh food and friendly staff , this is what makes a restaurant amazing. Recently I went for breakfast which turned into brunch and then cocktails at Plaka with my sister and dad oh boy what a good time , from having the place to ourselves since we got there super early to having alil gorgeous boy dance for me ... so cute. If you love Mediterranean cuisine as much as me and a gorgeous ambiance trust me you'll love it here. This is not a sponsored post but I love showing some Jo'burg love.

There's 4 words i'd use to describe Chalkboard Cafe, beers , food , chilled vibes. They also have movies shown ,happy hour they a walk away from Market on Main ,located in the Maboneng Precinct and its just such a great hangout. Need I say more?

Sometimes there is nothing you need more than soul searching ,finding out what you want , what you need to change and why? that time of silence is so crucial for your sanity you don't have to be constantly on on on , its okay to be silent and really do some soul searching in order to live a life you will be proud of . My lessons in life is everyone's life moves on , your friends family and so forth and if you trying to keep up with them you will feel even more lost , its crucial to figure out what you need , what you want and start moving to your own beat only then will you find your own joy.

Titolino's

It's been pretty rare that we eat out especially since our great move last year we do markets and braai's but not really restaurant family dinners , so when we do its really like a big deal ,we all get soooooooo excited, this specific evening we went to Titolino's which I brought my mom cousin and niece to when I came for a quick visit to Jhb , the food is always amazing they start you off with some sherry and to be honest I'm always so surprised as to how yummy sherry is... why don't I ever drink it ?? and I always choose to sit upstairs. My sister and dad seemed to enjoy it there too. My mom and I loved it from before this dinner. In my opinion it would make a great date night or dinner with the girls spot.

Music joins the blog party

Those who have been reading my blog from word press days know music is my addiction , finally I've added a playlist to my sidebar , I didn't want it to be bulky so its perfectly small in size for now I only have a few songs in rotation , but please do hit play and enjoy. Weekend in pics

I have so many pictures to get through but this is a recap of the past 4 days , yes 4 days because its a long weekend , I'll be the first to say this year it didn't feel like Easter at the Silva's maybe on Good Friday but other than that it was more a long weekend . Stay tuned for posts explaining more about the pics . Trust me choosing one pic from each segment of these 4 days was quite something haha .
